Executive director and shareholder of Energy3, a distributed electricity development company developing and operating small scale generation projects across New Zealand. Energy 3 has successfully developed the 0.75MW Weld Cone Wind Farm and 1 MW Lulworth Wind Farm, and consented the 7MW Flat Hill Wind Farm before sale to an electricity generator.

Chris Fincham

General Manager – King Country Energy

25 years’ experience in generation development and operation

Having been in a variety of roles with King Country Energy, Chris is the current General Manager having overseen the transformation from vertically integrated generator/retailer to a generation only business. Responsible for the long-term strategic management of generation assets including commercial contracts and development and maintenance capital expenditure projects.

Other responsibilities include managing the company’s risk position in the electricity market and the Resource Management Act, and to engage on regulatory change in all areas.
